RAF Vosper 68' RTTL2753 served at RAF Gibraltar 1965-75 and was sold locally to become a smuggler, A storage depot and is now a yacht (Flywood). Model is from formica for static display (from scratch)

 

 

 

HSL 2554 served at RAF Gibraltar in the fifties, and was sold locally; could be M.Y.Adelheid. Model is scratch built from ply (hull & deck) and formica (deckhouse). Single glow engine. Used John Pritchard plans ref 1358.

 

 

HSL 144, Bought on e-bay. Was going to change pennant to HSL142 which served at Gibraltar throughout the latter half of WW2 and survived until 2002(broken up at Marchwood) but haven't the heart to touch this masterpiece. Twin electric with dummy centre shaft.

 

 

 

BPB Co 71.5'MTB 494 was one of the last casualties of WW2.Model is entirely from scratch from GRP hull, ply deck and bridge for static display.

 

 

 

HDML1301 served as a patrol boat during WW2 then hydrographic survey as P352 HMS Meda until the late 60s,then as private yacht Gibel-Tarik to this day. Models are from scratch using vac-formed hulls, "new" version uses 2 off electric motors and all lights work.

 

 

 

Fairmile B RML550 served as a rescue launch in WW2, picking up many airmen. She was later to become yacht Mamselle De France. Model uses 2xelec motors, scratch built hull from epoxied veneer D/D over ply frames and ply deck and superstructure. Most fittings and guns were purchased.

 

 

 

 

Fairmile D MTB 624, Early version without torpedo scallops. GRP hull, ply deck and plastic card above. Mix of bought and scratch built fittings and weapons, twin electric. Used John Lambert's Anatomy of the Ship.
